It can be easy to get off track when everyone is together, but having an agenda will make it easier to bring the discussion back to the tasks at hand.

2) Invite only the people who have a need to attend the meeting. If someone doesn't have anything to say or hear at the meeting, then they don't belong at the meeting. You want to make sure everyone there is getting value out of that meeting.

3) Assign someone to write minutes of the meeting. By keeping track of the time you spend on each subject you'll be able to see what you accomplished in each meeting, where you spent too much time or not enough time. 

4) Stay focused on the agenda. If you're going through the meeting and there is a topic that you find needs more discussion, then you can always add to the agenda for the next meeting, or if you need to, change the current meeting agenda to fit the important discussion in. 

5) End the meeting on time and with clear action items for the next meeting or follow-up discussion. Always make sure that each meeting ends with a clear understanding of what was decided in the meeting, what was accomplished, and what it means for the future.

Overall, it is important to ensure the meetings in your business are effective and efficient because meetings are expensive, but they can help you succeed.
